How this estimate works: The calculator assumes an isolated-margin position opened at the entered price, with initial margin equal to position notional divided by leverage. It uses a simplified constant maintenance-margin percentage and assumes no additional collateral.

For a long position, the model solves for the adverse price decline that exhausts available margin down to the assumed maintenance requirement. For a short position, it solves for the adverse price increase under the same assumption.

Important limitations: This is not an exchange-verified liquidation price. Real liquidation prices depend on position size, maintenance-margin tiers, mark-price rules, margin mode, other positions, additional collateral, funding, fees, and exchange-specific calculations. A stop-loss may also execute with slippage. Use the exchange’s own liquidation-price display for actual position management.
